Work with the team to develop high quality software products applying expertise in image analysis, 3D model generation and machine learning to solve challenging problems in online retail.

Key result areas

• High quality and production ready C++ code using the latest standards.

• Automated unit and acceptance tests to enable robust continuous integration

• Methods and algorithms to improve existing code or create new solutions

• Technical reports to validate software performance

 

Responsibilities

• Gain insight into problem requirements and design effective technical solutions.

• Apply sound design and architecture to create maintainable code e.g. SOLID principles, TDD

• Actively contribute to code reviews

• Mentor and coach team members in code construction and code quality

• Specify solutions for development on target platforms

• Provide technical recommendations and new ideas.

• Work closely with other team members, clearly communicate issues and seek new ideas for solutions.

 

Person specifications

Required

• BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

• Expert in using one or more object oriented high level languages including C++

• Strong team worker with excellent communication skills.

Desirable

• Knowledge of Python or Swift

• Experience in an Agile Development environment

• Experience in some areas of computer vision, image processing, numerical methods, mathematical modelling or related fields.

• Self-motivated and independent thinker.
